🤖 An AI classroom without teachers has started

AI needs to be taught to students but what happens if AI starts to teach you? A London private school will soon start a ‘teacherless’ classroom, where AI platforms and VR headsets will be used by students to teach them. While there will be no teachers in the classroom, “learning coaches” present there.

Insights for you:

  • David Game College in London, UK will soon start a classroom taught by artificial intelligence, without the presence of teachers.

  • AI will also aid students by finding out how well they are learning and adjusting the lessons according to that.

  • Critics argue arguing AI teaching will be dehumanising the process of learning.

Apple
🛑 News Sites Push Back Against Apple’s AI Crawlers

According to WIRED, after Apple launched a tool that allows websites to opt out of their content from being accessed for AI training, many news sites used it to do so. This could lead to changes in how AI models are trained and might also result in new deals where companies have to pay to access up-to-date new content.

Insights for you:

  • Major news publishers including The New York Times and Financial Times are blocking Apple AI for training.

  • This is after Apple’s new tool lets websites stop their data from being used to train their AI models.

  • This shows growing tension between content publishers and AI companies on how to adjust in this new world.
