🐣 OpenAI Launches The ‘Mini’ Version of GPT-4o

The reason to make the GPT-4o Mini is to provide an affordable option in the market. It is better than GPT 3.5 Turbo on many benchmarks and still cheaper, with a context window of 128,000 tokens. It is now available to ChatGPT's Free, Plus and Team users.

• It is about 60% cheaper than GPT 3.5 Turbo, with knowledge until October 2023.

• It currently only supports Text and Vision in the OpenAI API.

Microsoft
🎨 Create and Edit using AI with Microsoft’s Designer

Microsoft’s Designer is now available on iOS and Android mobile devices with many new AI features. To make it easy for beginners, they added prompt templates with ideas, styles, and descriptions to instantly start using the AI features.

• The Microsoft Designer App is Free for mobile users.

• A ‘Replace Background’ feature is coming soon, to remove the existing background and replace it with a new one, made using AI.

• It also has a restyling feature to add AI-generated borders to existing images.

🎵 YouTube Music introduces AI-powered Ask for Music feature

YouTube has just added many new AI features to ‘YouTube Music’ with the ability to easily search for songs and an AI-generated Radio. These will make the Music segment of YouTube more competitive with Spotify and Amazon Music.

Insights for you:

• One of the main AI features is ‘Sound Search’ to search within over 100M songs by singing or humming the tune.

• There is also ‘AI-generated conversational radio’ where you can create your custom radio (or playlist) by prompting it with what you want.

• This AI radio is currently rolling out to select Premium users in the US only.

Mistral
🤖 Mistral and NVIDIA dropped a new AI Model

Mistral just released a new 12B model called NeMo they made with the help of NVIDIA. This is what they said in the official release: “Its reasoning, world knowledge, and coding accuracy are state-of-the-art in its size category.”

Insights for you:

• ‘Mistral NeMo’ is a new 12B model by Mistral, in collaboration with NVIDIA.

• It has a large context window of up to 128k tokens.

• It can run on a single NVIDIA L40S, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 or NVIDIA RTX 4500 GPU.

Tinder
🤳 Tinder is releasing an AI Photo Selector feature

Even Tinder has now started using AI! The new ‘Photo Selector’ feature helps users find the best photo from their device to set as the profile picture. Users can take a selfie and allow Tinder to access the images on their device, and the feature will automatically find some of the best images within them.
