💡 ChatGPT’s Browser Control feature to launch this week
According to The Information, OpenAI plans to launch a new ChatGPT feature for browser control later this week called ‘Operator’. It will be able to automate complex tasks typically done through the web browser, such as restaurant reservations or planning trips.
Insights for you:
OpenAI will introduce Operator, an AI agent system capable of independently handling computer tasks, this week.
When users enter a prompt, a mini-screen opens within the chatbot, showing a browser window and the agent's actions in real-time. ChatGPT users can take control of the screen while the operator is working, and they can save and share their operator tasks with other users.
However, the report also mentions that the ChatGPT Operator tool cannot control a Gmail account but will allow users to “log into other sites and stay logged in across sessions.”
