🦁 Brave Search adds AI chat mode for smarter follow-up queries
Earlier this year, the company launched “Answer with AI” summaries that appear above search results after you submit a query to give you an easy-to-read answer in response to a question. Now the Answer with AI summaries include a chat bar that lets you ask follow-up questions regarding your initial query.
Insights for you:
Brave announced that it is improving its search service with a new AI-powered chat mode. This feature lets users ask follow-up questions based on their initial search.
Brave says this new experience is powered by a combination of open and internal LLMs, and eliminates the need for users to choose between chat-first or search-first tools.
The new chat feature has all the same privacy protections as Brave Search and its Answer with AI feature.
AI Future
💡 llms.txt could fundamentally change how LLMs read online content
A newly proposed web standard called "llms.txt" could change how AI systems find and process information online. AI veteran Jeremy Howard suggests websites should include this special file that helps language models access content more effectively.
Insights for you:
A new web standard called "llms.txt" has been proposed to help language models access relevant information from websites more efficiently.
The llms.txt file would serve as a central guide for AI systems, summarizing the most important content of a website in a structured format, as AI requires information in a more precise and compact form than humans.
The proposed standard is designed to complement existing web standards such as sitemaps and robots.txt.
