OpenAI
👨💻 ChatGPT can now Render HTML and React Apps
OpenAI has added the ability to render HTML and React code directly within Canvas. Instead of downloading and running code to see how it looks, users can now preview it in the interface. Also, Canvas now works with the OpenAI o1 model. You can select o1 from the model picker.
Insights for you:
ChatGPT now has rendering capabilities for HTML and React code, which are accessible to all users. These capabilities allow users to visualize React applications and experiment interactively with UI elements.
The updates also include support for the new O1 model. However, this option is limited to Pro, Plus, and Team subscribers.
The move appears to be OpenAI's response to Anthropic’s"Artifacts" feature for Claude.

🦙 Meta AI releases the 1st Stable API of Llama Stack
Meta has launched a stable API release of its development platform called Llama-Stack 0.1.0 to help companies build AI applications using Llama models. The platform provides standardized building blocks and lets developers choose how they want to deploy their applications.
Insights for you:
Meta has introduced Llama Stack 0.1.0, a development platform aimed at making it easier for developers to get started with building AI applications using Llama models.
The platform tackles the issue that GenAI developers require more than just a language model to build applications. It offers pre-configured distributions for various deployment scenarios and enables the sharing of resources across providers.
Llama Stack defines a consistent API layer for essential AI functions and supports multiple API providers through its plugin system.
Microsoft
⚠️ Microsoft tested 100+ AI tools and found major security issues
Microsoft's AI security team has put more than 100 generative AI products through their paces since 2021, looking for weak spots and ethical concerns. Their findings challenge some common assumptions about AI security and highlight the continued importance of human expertise.
Insights for you:
Microsoft's AI security team has tested over 100 generative AI products since 2021, uncovering vulnerabilities and ethical concerns that challenge common assumptions about AI security.
The team found that simple attacks, such as hiding harmful instructions within image text, can be more effective than sophisticated ones.
The team also relied on human insight when investigating AI bias. In one example, they examined gender bias in an image generator by creating pictures of different occupations without specifying gender.
