⚖️ Elon Musk Sues OpenAI for ‘Putting Profits Above Humanity’

Via The New York Times, Mr. Musk sued OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman, accusing them of breaching a contract by putting profits and commercial interests in developing artificial intelligence ahead of the public good.

• Musk was a founding member of OpenAI in 2015 but left in 2018. He said OpenAI is no longer open-sourced and non-profit.

At the Hot Pod Summit in Brooklyn, Adobe gave a preview of Music Gen AI Control. With the help of text instructions, users can create any type of music with this new Adobe tool, according to their needs.

Enabling an LLM to work with various APIs and tools has always been a hectic task, and Meta and UCSD’s ToolVerifier is here to just solve that issue. It was developed by researchers from Meta and the University of California San Diego (UCSD) as a solution for training LLMs.

• ToolVerifier is a mechanism that enhances the way LLMs call and interact with software tools.

• It acts as a self-verification technique that allows the LLM to pose questions to itself to determine which tool to employ and what settings to provide to the tool.

• The results were quite impressive which showed that ToolVerifier performs better than each baseline, both on average and individually. It indeed is an improvement over other augmented LLMs.
